Federal Forest Service Road (FS) 3453, also known as Boedne Bay Road, is a federally owned/ locally maintained, Level-2/ Level-3 forest road with a surface composition of dirt, sand, gravel, grass, and native material. This route is currently open and in fair condition; it is not a DNR road (ORV use is subject to local government regulations). On their own, the main route & Spur are "There-and-back" routes. Together, they make a "point-to-point" route that offers access to Boedne Bay of Brevoort Lake. The bay is named in honor of Frank Boedne, a local resident who lived in a shack and was most notably recognized for his hunting and fishing skills. Boedne was a well-known outdoorsman and guide. He was known for living off the land, often accompanied by a dog, and was a prominent figure in the area's early, rustic history. Description created on September 17, 2025.

History
Boedne Bay is a distinct, relatively shallow bay located on the northeastern side of the 4,233-acre Brevoort Lake. The bay, along with the surrounding Brevoort Lake Campground and recreation area, is deeply intertwined with local history, named after a historical figure, Frank Boedne, and developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The bay is named in honor of Frank Boedne, a local resident known for his hunting and fishing skills. According to local Legend, Boedne lived in a shack on the lakefront and was a well-known guide for wealthy visitors. He was known for living off the land, often accompanied by a dog, and was a prominent figure in the area's early, rustic history.
