Wilson Creek

My first ride with a new Honda Pioneer and by myself, so very conservative on the trail. It was a very enjoyable ride and started at the Wilson Creek Trailhead and went counter-clockwise. However, I turned around prior to the climb to Wilson Peak because of a posted sign which recommended NO motorized vehicles due to washed out trail. I probably could have easily made it to the summit, but since I was by myself, with no spare tire, I turned around.

I am an beginner intermediate rider with mtn bike experience but 3 years on the WR250. I went clockwise. After the first steep short loose rocky climb, a sign said " no motorized vehicles beyond here due to wash out. I felt multiple times that it was irresponsible for me to be there alone. There were quite a few steep sections. Steep rocky narrow, steep rocky rutted, steep rocky narrow rutted. Got up a couple thousand feet near the out and back spur to wilson peak and turned around. 4 wheeler could manage as could a moderately advanced dirt biker. Too narrow for a full sized truck. My nephew came down in Tacoma with good clearance the week before, counter clockwise. I Surprised some wild horses. Beautiful views. Very challenging.
