Trail Overview
This is a 5 mile long segment of Weitas Creek single track that goes from the Weitas ATV trail off of FS 250, to the Weitas Work Center. The ATV portion starts out like an old road, and the single track starts at a small wooden bridge. It overlooks the meandering Weitas Creek, then traverses the mountainsides on a narrow skinny dirt trail. It's a mix of narrow side-hilling with some exposure, and narrow trail within the lush and dense forest with less exposure. The bushes are overgrown and leafy. The trail goes right along the river at times, exposed above the water, and also has a wooden bridge to cross another small stream. The views are great along the river, and the trees provide a lot of shade. It can get really hot here in the summer. This is a great trail to ride in the early summer or late spring when Junction Mountain and Windy Ridge aren't open yet, and since it goes through lower elevation, there likely won't be any snow on the trail in the beginning of summer. This trail goes along the creek between 2,500 and 2,800 feet elevation, so it's much lower than some of the ridge line trails. You'll likely have some downfall, but many logs have also been cut. It ends on Weitas Creek Road, which you can take to the Weitas Work Center.

Difficulty
This trail is narrow, but hardly has any rocks, so is super smooth and easy going. The only difficulty comes from narrow exposed sections, so you still have to ride cautiously.
