Trail Overview

Marie Saddle (413) takes you into the Coeur d'Alene National Forest from the Fourth of July Pass area. The road is a fairly easy climb and in decent shape in the summer and fall. This is one of many "entrances" into the Coeur d'Alene National Forest and will lead you to a network of several other trails if you wish to venture further into the forest or combine a few trails into a loop route. There's a parking lot right off I-90 and this area is popular with SXS and other off-road vehicles. This road is seasonally closed to full-width vehicles and is groomed for snowmobiles in the winter. You may encounter snow clear into May.
