Trail Overview
Located in the rugged backwoods of Tate's Hell State Forest, this route--known officially as SFR 91--is a challenging and adventurous track that demands preparation and experience. The road is characterized by frequent deep mud pits, including one notorious hole that can reach hood height depending on the season and rainfall. Even during drier months, several water crossings and soft, rutted sections remain, keeping drivers on their toes. Tall pines and dense underbrush line the trail, offering glimpses of classic Florida swamp terrain. Recovery gear is strongly recommended, and solo travel is not advised. This is a solid 5-rated trail and an ideal route for those seeking a true off-road test in Florida's wild panhandle. Pack in, pack out, leave no trace, and tread lightly.
