Trail Overview
Ocala National Forest Motorcycle FS-221 trail is broken down into sections FS-221, FS-221 A, FS-221 B, FS-221 C, FS-221 D, FS-221 E, FS-221 F, and FS-221G. These bi-directional trails are flat, hard-packed, with plenty of loose sandy berms ridden under a canopy of trees. The 'Motorcycle FS-211 Loop' overlaps with wider ORV trails that have deep, loose sand. Tall riders or those who prefer to ride standing should be cautious, as branches & sharp palms can hit your helmet and chest around every corner. Eye protection is necessary. On average, it takes about 2 -3 hours to complete the entire loop. From all the trail sections, FS-221 A & FS-221 E are the most fun, as they have the most twisties. Note that mobile service is limited in the area. Additionally, a 3-day, 7-day, or annual ORV pass is required for the FS-221 trail, whether your motorcycle is plated or not. These passes can be bought online. It has been recommended to take a screenshot of your pass & the online receipt.

Difficulty
The "Motorcycle Loop" FS-221 (includes FS-221, FS-221 A, FS-221 B, FS-221 C, FS-221 D, FS-221 E, FS-221 F, FS-221 G) primarily consists of hard-packed trails with loose sandy berms. However, connecting the FS-221 "Motorcycle Loop" trail comes with some challenges. It overlaps with a wider ORV trail; these sections have deeper sand and can be more difficult. The "2" rating specifically applies to FS-221 only, not the overlapping sections.
