Trail Overview
This lengthy two-track offers a great blend of classic Florida forest driving and light technical challenge. It starts off wide with occasional two-lane sections, giving drivers some early flexibility and chances to explore side spurs. As you progress, the trail narrows and becomes more remote, winding through thick pines and palmetto undergrowth. The highlight here is the series of steep creek crossings--some with sharp drop-ins and slick exits that demand good clearance and 4WD, especially after rains. The soil is a mix of soft sugar sand and firm packed dirt, with occasional ruts and washouts. It's a great route for those looking for an immersive ride into the heart of Tate's Hell, with just enough features to keep it exciting. Pack in, pack out, leave no trace, and tread lightly.
