Trail Overview

This route drops over 200 feet in under 2 miles, winding through the hills while following power lines. The trail offers beautiful views of the Eastern Sierras on one side and the White Mountains on the other, along with views of the town of Bishop below. There are some dispersed campsites along the way and in the area for those seeking backcountry camping opportunities. The route includes a small water crossing and several spur trails, some of which take you up into the surrounding hills for additional exploration.

Difficulty

This trail earns a low difficulty rating with its very sandy and dusty surface that is mostly sandy with some embedded rocks. There is one small section with rocks on the east side that adds a minor technical challenge to the otherwise manageable terrain.
