Trail Overview
Mill Creek Ridge Trail begins just off Highway 108, right at the Mill Creek Campground Road. This 10-mile out-and-back route climbs over 800 feet and drops about 100 feet as it winds through dense pine forest mixed with patches of aspen trees. The surface is a mix of compact sand and dirt, roughly 1 to 1.5 vehicles wide, with occasional shallow ruts caused by runoff. Along the way, you'll spot interesting rock formations and sections of steep shelf road, offering expansive views of the surrounding forested slopes.

Difficulty
Rated a 2, most of the trail is easygoing, though the final mile (around mile 4.5 onward) narrows and becomes rougher and more uneven, requiring slower speeds and careful tire placement. Some overgrown brush along the edges can cause light "Sonora Pass pinstripes" on wider vehicles. Watch for mud or standing water after recent rain.
