Trail Overview
This 9-mile out-and-back trail begins just off Highway 395, a little south of the Highway 108 junction. It is a heavily used road with frequent washboards, so expect a bumpy ride. The road winds through a scenic valley surrounded by hills and mountains, with several spur trails branching off to explore. The route alternates between 1.5 and 2.5 vehicles wide, and in places it runs along a shelf road. Dust is common, especially during dry months. A highlight along the way is the single-lane wooden bridge that crosses the creek. From there, the road climbs nearly 1,000 feet in just over 4.5 miles before leveling out.
