Trail Overview
This 4-mile out-and-back trail climbs just over 100 feet and drops more than 300 feet in under 2 miles as it winds through dense forest and open meadows. The track is a single vehicle wide, often very tight, with overgrown trees and brush. Expect Sierra pinstripes in multiple sections. The trail begins in a shaded forest before opening into a hilly meadow, where a short off-camber shelf road provides wide mountain views. Water runoff has created some ruts here, though they are passable with care. From there, the trail re-enters a forest of tall pine trees and follows another shelf road high above the valley below. Occasionally, large boulders appear on the otherwise dirt track. In places, thick sage and heavy brush narrow the route significantly. The trail currently ends early due to downed trees blocking further travel.

Difficulty
Tight, overgrown sections and narrow shelf roads make this more challenging than a simple forest road. High clearance is recommended.
