Trail Overview

A great way to get from the main trail of Ferguson River Run down to the water below. The trail begins up in the hills, looking like a moonscape. There is little plant or animal life, but the trail immediately gets interesting. It starts with gentle rollers and turns into deeper ones the closer you get to the water. Some are very off-camber, and many are deep enough to drag the hitch of a short wheelbase lifted 4x4. There are some nice rock obstacles, and overall it's a blast to run. A few campfire rings can be found here and there, but camping isn't the main focus of this route. There's plenty of camping once you get to the bottom of the hill by the water. There are a few bars of Verizon LTE here and there.

Difficulty

Some of the trail transitions are very short and steep, even for a short-wheelbase vehicle. We ran this trail in a 4runner and dragged the hitch in a few of the transitions.
