Trail Overview
FS5N92 is a peaceful 5-mile out-and-back trail that climbs 350 feet and drops roughly the same amount as it winds through a tall pine forest just off Highway 108. The surface is primarily hard-packed dirt mixed with sand, with scattered embedded rocks and occasional shallow ruts from water runoff. The drive offers a mix of shaded canopy and open stretches where sunlight filters through the trees. Midway along the route, a shelf road provides scenic views high above a canyon filled with evergreens. Small clearings make for excellent photo stops or dispersed camping spots. In the fall, this area becomes especially popular for deer hunting and quiet forest exploration.

Difficulty
The trail is mostly rated a 1, though shallow runoff ruts and small embedded rocks bring the overall rating to a 2. Watch for minor mud holes after rain and a few narrow spots where maneuvering around logs may be required.
