Trail Overview

This narrow, single-vehicle trail winds through a sparse pine forest with plenty of brush and other vegetation along the way. The surface is mostly sand and pumice with some ruts, small rocks, and a few rocky stretches. Expect to encounter low-hanging branches that may scrape taller vehicles, as well as sections where overgrown brush in the median can brush against low-clearance rigs. A couple of short but steep hills add to the challenge. Scenic views open up to the Eastern Sierras, the Glass Mountains, the White Mountains, and Lake Crowley.

Difficulty

The combination of ruts, rocky sections, and overgrowth makes high clearance and 4x4 strongly recommended.
