Trail Overview
This trail starts on the north end at Veterans Pass and cuts in and out of Tule Wash, BLM069, and Sand Rail Wash along the way. Some of the ramps in and out of washes are steep, creating vertical challenges at multiple points. The surface is sandy with lots of whoops and washboards, making for a very bumpy ride throughout. There is very little vegetation, with just a few creosote bushes and seasonal wildflowers scattered about. You'll enjoy nice views of the surrounding mountains as you navigate. South of BLM069, the trail becomes even more barren with more hard pack sand and more whoops, and it goes up and down hills departing from the flat plain to create a more dynamic terrain. Along this road, there are a couple of off-road hills that you can explore and have fun on. Despite the remote feel, there is decent cell service available.

Difficulty
This is an easy to moderate trail with the steep ramps in and out of washes being the main technical challenge, requiring momentum and careful approach angles. The sandy surface with lots of whoops and washboards creates a very bumpy ride that will test your suspension. The hills south of BLM069 add elevation changes but aren't difficult. Airing down is recommended for the sandy conditions and improved comfort over the whoops.
