Trail Overview
Half of this trail is a steep incline if you're going West to East. Coming from the east is optional, but I wouldn't recommend it if the trail is wet at all. I'd recommend 4LO because the trail is steep, could use 2WD, but it can get a little slippery. At the top of the trail, you make a sharp right-hand turn onto the shelf road. You can go left, but that turns into a different trail. Ford Point continues to the right.

Some sections require navigating over rocks and washes. The washes change every time it rains. The trail is very steep for half of the way and can become very slippery.
