Trail Overview
This is leg 4 of 4 to complete the entire EMHT, which is a meandering and comprehensive tour of the Mojave Desert. This segment is relatively easy with a few spots that, while not technically difficult, are very slow going due to ground conditions. It is the shortest of the EMHT segments, but gets into very remote, little trafficked areas. Terrain begins with desert hard pack and then transitions to hard sand for several hours. Enjoy this, because it doesn't last as the terrain transitions into very soft sand, and then some of the roughest and slowest going ground conditions you will encounter on the entire EMHT. Rough enough you will either thank or question the skill of your dentist. It will also prove out the quality of your seats, shocks, springs and tires.
