This is a great technical trail with many obstacles available for more experienced drivers. Secluded in the desert between The CAP Canal North of Vistancia and Carefree Highway, this trail is filled with awesome washes, 24" obstacles, blind Steep Climbs, and plenty of alternate routes around the obstacles. This is also a fantastic night ride that actually leads to the Boulders OHV area and Cow Creek Road (Crown King). It's hard to imagine such awesome off-road trails being so close to civilization.

The eastern side of the trail is permanently inaccessible due to the Vistancia construction project.

To enter off 74 you have to take a unmarked side trail as it is blocked by big rocks purposely blocking it, then the exit out is blocked by new construction so you have to turn around and go back the way you came. Sad to see this trail access ruined

Impassable Water Crossing

pretty deteriorated but passable right up until you reach the east side entrance or exit. there's a one foot diameter pipe pumping water across the trail as far as I can see north and south. You can still get in and play around but you can't go in or out from the east.

Construction closure at the housing development. They politely told us we had to go around. No further details. Had to backtrack to Wranglers Nest Trail as the go around.

Access Description

From the South take El Mirage Road North of Lone Mountain to Roundabout. Then continue North (Closed) Road. At the back of that area is a steep access to the trail. Corrs the CAP Canal over the cement bridge and you are almost there. From the north, the trail is located South of Carefree Highway. Take the road across from the Boulders OHV and travel to the end of this marked trail.
