Trail Overview
Welch 35 Aux is a primarily rocky trail that heads East and then North adjacent to Sawtooth Peak. This trail tells the story of what is typical with inclines in the hills of Arizona, as the rocks become gnarlier and more exposed the higher the trail goes. Mixed Pine and Juniper, as well as tall grasses, populate the lower elevations, with wash crossings and larger rocks making the uphill travel somewhat challenging. The trail continues, past a waterfall feature that requires larger tires and a higher lift, making this a challenging trail, especially in the monsoon months. Caution is urged as there is no cell coverage on this trail. A large campsite is present at the bottom, with a large primitive fire ring.
