Trail Overview
The Tri Canyon Traverse Trail starts in a beautiful pasture in the grassland of the Prescott National Forest. Don't let this gentle landscape fool you, though, because as you move out of the pasture, the rocky foothills and dense juniper trees are ahead. Large wash crossings, tight trees, and long, rocky, off-camber hill climbs are present on this trail, making it a solid warmup or cooldown for your day of trails. Once out of the canyon and back up on the plateau, you'll be treated with views to the East of a large valley, and beautiful grasslands below. There are no major obstacles on this trail, though the washes and erosion may prove challenging, especially in monsoon season.
