Trail Overview

Little Wolf starts on the south end directly off of Pine Flats Road and heads north. It starts in a wash and then continues as a single track that parallels the wash and crosses it several times. You have to look for where the trail comes out of the wash each time. The wash is full of huge boulders and loose round river rocks. It was dry in October but could have water during the monsoon season. The single-track trail is pretty overgrown with several big logs down, but several have been cut through. It is a really unique landscape of desert wash but with scattered large pine trees. A fire went through the area several years back, burning the pines and resulting in some downfall. A lot of trails in this area have become overgrown and un-ridden, but this one actually looks more ridden, since it starts off of the main dirt road. After about 1.5 miles, the trail crosses through a gate, continues past some downfall, and then peters out in a rocky wash. It doesn't appear to continue farther and needs help from more riders to be ridden more and cut in more. Attempting to ride this whole trail will require some route finding.
