Trail Overview
King Tank starts off wide and open in the grassland of the Black Hills area outside of Chino Valley, AZ. As you progress Northward, the track narrows to one lane, with steep entries and exits to wash crossings becomes the name of the game. Some of these crossings are off-camber, so shorter wheelbase with higher clearance helps a ton. There is little to no service on this trail as you progress Northward. As you approach the Gold Basin Tank area, you might be surprised, as I was, to find that the trail drops quickly into a wash with a waterfall/rock crawling type feature section. The trail presumably continues to the junction of 163.
Difficulty
This is an uneven, rutted dirt trail with loose rocks, sand, erosion, and washes. Potential water crossings up to 18" deep, mud holes, and obstacles up to 2 feet, including ledges and short, steep grades.
