Trail Overview
This fun out-and-back trail leads from Highway 89 toward the Pariah Canyon/Vermilion Cliffs boundary. The route is mostly easy. The trail surface is shallow sand in some areas. Additionally, there are a few short hilly transitions and off-camber sections. The trail is mostly one vehicle width with a few spots to pass oncoming here and there. At the end of the trail is an old abandoned Hacienda at Jacobs Pool. A short walk from where the trail ends will bring you to the pool's edge, but I doubt there is a swim-up bar. The old homestead is a stone building. The front porch is still standing and is an excellent spot to escape the sun for a minute. Just past the stone structure is a superb camping spot with a nice large established fire ring. One bar of Verizon LTE in the area; however, we found it worthless. Recommend downloading offline maps for the area before coming out here.

Difficulty
Further into the trial are some slight off-camber sections. The trail surface is a combination of dirt and shallow sand with short deeper wash crossings where sand is encountered.
