Trail Overview

Bajada Loop is one to two-lane dirt and gravel loop road within Saguaro National Park that has lots of washboards and some potholes. It is one way in some areas and should be started from Hohokam Road to complete the loop. This loop takes you deep within the Saguaro Wilderness with access to many hiking trails and picnic areas. This road can easily be accessed by a low clearance 2WD, many were seen while mapping this trail.

Great trail ride this evening. The dirt road meanders through the amazing Sonoran desert while the late day sun hits the surrounding mountains creating a beautiful backdrop! If you are planning to do the loop, we suggest you enter on North Kenny Rd because some parts of the road are one way (see the provided pictures). We highly recommend this trail if you want to experience the Sonoran desert. There are plenty of desert plants to see including ocotillo, cholla, barrel cactus, prickly pear, and many majestic saguaros!!

Just a dirt road, any vehicle should be able to do this “trail”. Would be nice to do on a bicycle.
