Trail Overview

Entry from the south off Highway 97 on Stewart Lake Road. This route has about 8km of pavement but turns to gravel/dirt/muddy/sandy road. It will eventually take you to Stewart Lake Recreational Site where you can camp, fish, boat and explore. However, there are numerous different roads that branch off which makes the back country endless. Great clearings and transmission cut lines for hunting, ATV's, snowmobiles and dirt bikes.

Difficulty

In perfect weather the roads are very dusty but have several washboards, rutts and sandy spots. when it is wet the road conditions become very slippery and deep rutting in many locations on the route can cause a challenge to a car/suv.
