Northwest - FS 15

Trail Overview

Northwest - FS 15 is located in the Apalachicola National Forest. The southern part of this trail features a sandy single track, often underwater after it rains, as it meanders through the marshes. An alternative route is to take FS 15 B from Simmons Lodge 369, which is a shorter and drier trail. The northern part of the trail is less challenging, with hard-pack, wider trail under a canopy of trees.

The southern part of the trail is a tight single track through the marshes, with plenty of overgrowth and deep water, after heavy rains. The northern part of the trail is under a canopy of trees and widens as it connects with other trails.
