Trail Overview
Horse Meadow Spur winds up and down through thick manzanita and tall pine trees within Sequoia National Forest, delivering a fun and engaging ride with interesting rock formations adding character along the way. Fair warning to those protective of their paint job: pinstriping from the dense manzanita is virtually guaranteed on this trail. If that is a concern, this one is best skipped.

Difficulty
Trees, rocks, ruts up to 12 inches deep, and dense manzanita all require active maneuvering throughout the route. The combination of tight vegetation and uneven terrain keeps drivers fully engaged from start to finish. The manzanita is thick enough that contact with the sides of the vehicle is essentially unavoidable.
