Trail Overview

Color Country Trail cuts through the heart of the Flat Lands with miles of scenic views in every direction it is a great place to view wildlife. It starts on a two-lane maintained road and then switches to a single-lane unmaintained road. About halfway through you will come across a sand dune then as suddenly as it appears it's gone leaving you back in the sagebrush.

The trail at about midpoint is closed (at the elbow bend) - there is another route around but this a very primitive area and the roads are not used frequently. I think this trail could be remapped but as it is I would plan ahead and use the county roads which are better. This route doesn’t go anywhere specific either? It ends up at a county dirt road which I could have used anyway. Not sure the purpose of this segment?
