Trail Overview
This out-and-back route is a classic forest trail. A beautiful, lush forest surrounds you as you make your way up the mountainside. (Kept hoping for an overlook of the valley but never quite got one on this trail.) Water/mud holes are present, especially early season or after rain. There is one large eroded section that bumps the difficulty rating up. The further up the mountain you travel, the more overgrown the trail becomes. The route is doable for larger rigs, but definitely expect pin striping. The trail continues beyond where the track ends, but it is much less defined and further overgrown. Small area to turn around there.
Difficulty
Uneven, rutted dirt trail with potential for loose rocks and sandy washes. Water crossings less than a foot deep. Potential for mud holes and trail obstacles up to 12", including ledges and short, steep grades.
