Trail Overview

This is a very fun trail full of spectacular views of red sandstone canyons. Ride along a sandstone canyon rim for the majority of the trail, sometimes within 5 to 20 feet of the ledge. The trail is mostly easy with only a couple of moderate rock ledges, obstacles, or rock pinches, but mostly smooth red dirt. There is moderate ledge exposure the whole way so be careful around tight corners of the canyon. This is a favorite in the Westwater Trail System, and you will likely see other groups of riders even in the off-season. You'll ride between big boulders, ride up a couple of loose hill climbs, and ride underneath towering red canyon walls. It's easier than some of the other trails in the surrounding area and has great views of the Colorado River.

Difficulty

This trail is a moderate difficulty, as it is mostly smooth trail, but does have a couple moderate obstacles and ledge exposure.
