Southside Loop

This trail is mostly very simple. It's gets complicated when going up over the hill. It is a steep climb with tall rock steps between 12-16" with no bypass. This trail should be a 5/10, not 3. Need to air down, and know what you're doing on the climbing portion.

This is my first time properly off-roading so take this as you will. I saw this was a green 3/10 rating. My dad and I were given a rental rubicon so we gave it a try. The trail is fairly narrow, a lot of blind turns. We reached one section that was beyond our skill set. Thankfully we had UTVs to watch and learn from. The loose rock section was VERY sketchy because if you slip your vehicle is toast. If you take the wrong angle those loose rocks will throw you into the ravine. Thankfully that is the toughest part of the trail. After we passed that we turned to 7 mile pass for the easier exit. Reaching the peak was an absolute gorgeous view. This is definitely a 4/10 trail at least. Your jeep will be getting scraped by branches due to how narrow and tight some sections are. Driving down the peak was a lot easier than driving up. We needed 4Lo and our rear locker, we did scrape at some parts but hey its a rental lol

Definitely not a green trail. There were a few ledges and obstacles, but on one an inexperienced rider could easily roll over and end up at the bottom of the hill. It had loose rock on the downhill side and probably 18" ledges on the uphill just to start, then additional height as you made it past that first ledge. We went west to east.

Definitely high clearance recommended
