Trail Overview

Left Fork Days Canyon is one of the entrances into the Hobble Creek trail system. It's a 3.6-mile trail that starts off Hobble Fork Canyon Road with a stream crossing. The stream here is surprisingly deep and the trail on the opposite side has almost been taken out by water and wheelspin erosion. Continuing past this, the trail crosses and rides in the stream and a dry rock bed many times. There are abundant rock gardens and scree fields with a few tricky hill climbs that are heavily eroded. As you gain elevation, the trail becomes more flowing through open-range cattle fields.

Difficulty

This trail would normally be a 6 difficulty rating, but the erosion in past years has made it more difficult. Stream crossings, boulder fields, and washed-out hill climbs increase the rating.

Came down from the Kirkman side on May the 11th. (didn't realize I could leave a report until it was too far past to mark the correct date) Water and mud too deep made a couple of the climbs impossible. Made it going down but can't imagine riding up it. Needs a week or two for the water to drop down a bit. Some spots nearly 2 feet deep and running fast.
