Heaven and Earth

This trail is pretty rough in some spots. I would rate it a 5 and definitely not a green trail. It is fun in a SxS.

I feel these trails are rated incorrectly. The “green” Heaven and Earth and Patton trails were steep at times, deeply rutted, and much more challenging than the “blue” main Arapeen trail. We had a great ride but it was too challenging for my wife and kids.

There are some sections of this trail that are very steep with large ruts and boulders embedded in the trail. Lots of sections with loose rock and logs. Some bits are very narrow and are barely one vehicle wide and can be difficult to find places to pass traffic going in the opposite direction. A fun ride overall, great views of changing leaves this time of year but it’s definitely not a green trail. There are parts that would be green but the bulk of the trail especially farther up from the trailhead are blue at minimum.
