Far East-Razzle Dazzle Interconnect

Trail Overview

This route is a fun and challenging way to go between the Far East Access Rd/Arizona Strip Road and East Rim/Razzle Dazzle. Working from east to west, you go up a very rocky steep hill that isn't hard to maneuver but takes a bit of time. The hill is covered in the black rocks this area is known for. We have drone footage of this part of the trail. It's posted on YouTube, and the channel to search for is LauraWoods3466. I put a screenshot in the photos below to help you find the right YouTube channel. The footage shows the scenery around the ride, the size of the rocks and the terrain. Then you move across the top of the mountain, go through a gate, and drop off into the valley to the west. The downslope isn't as steep as the Honeymoon Trail, but it's just as rocky. The turns are not too tight. Even with our 4-seater, we didn't have to make any 3-point turns. After descending off the mountain, you cross the Sand Hollow Lunch Bowl-Cliffs of Insanity-Warner Valley Loop Trail, following a nice sandy trail to the west to reach East Rim/Razzle Dazzle. The scenery from the top of the mountain is fantastic. We rode this trail in late April, so the flowers, cacti and bushes are all gorgeous and green. Cows do graze this area in the winter and spring, so you may encounter cows or cow poo on the trails. In February of 2023, Utah began enforcement of a new law, which requires an online education course for all off-roaders. The free course is available online. Google "Utah OHV Education Course," and the free test will pop up. It's an easy test that will only take 15-30 minutes, and it's required for all off-roaders, Jeeps, SXSs, dirt bikes, and ATVs. Kids under the age of 18 will have to take the Youth Education Test at the same site. After completing the test, print out the certificate to carry with you which shows you completed the course. We have taken it, and it's really no big deal. Good reminders about trail etiquette and trail preservation.

The rocks on the mountain are loose and large. There may be water in the sandy washes on the west end of this trail.
