Trail Overview

Trail 70 - Disney Hollow is the perfect day cruise into lunchtime. This trail shows two different traits- the first being a flat cruising style trail composed of hard-packed dirt and the latter being a drop off of the side of the mountain onto a short section of rock tables. There is little loose rock on this trail as most of it is hard-packed dirt with the single exception that brings you to a tranquil creek crossing of water rushing off the mountain. All of the larger vehicle-sized rocks and boulders are easy to traverse down but could pose more of a challenge when trying to crawl up them. The downhill portion will surely erode and get worse over time due to the steep incline. Trail 70 is considered a "Blue" trail in medium difficulty according to the park map. Just before the mountain drop, on the hard-packed dirt, the trail dog legs backward, and it can be easy to drive out of the park if the turn is missed.

Difficulty

The drop off the side of the mountain features ruts that will increase in difficulty over time and are currently up to 18" deep. A poor choice in approach angle could lead to a rollover. The larger rocks near the creek crossing are easy to slide off of, but taking the vertical route will pose more challenging. This section is only one vehicle wide.
