Trail Overview

The trail begins when the pavement ends on Michigan Mills Road. There is a gate here that is closed during mud season, which typically ends in April. Once the snow flies, this entire trail becomes a snowmobile trail. As with any other trail of this sort in New York State, stay off the trail if there is snow on the ground. Snow wheeling is not an option here. The NYSDEC has gone through a significant portion of this system during the summer of 2023, widening and grading the majority of this route. Airing down is recommended but not necessary. Since this is a snowmobile trail, it is common to find beer cans and bottles scattered throughout, so please take it out with you if you see it. Help keep the trails open by keeping them free of trash. No ATVs or SXSs are allowed.
