East Bench (FS 8378)

Trail Overview

If you are looking for a short trail with mind-blowing views at the end, this is it. We almost didn't take it but decided to see where it led. This trail puts you directly above a valley where you can see Hidden Lake and Elk Lake. You also have exceptional mountain views. This area was ravaged by a fire two years ago, and they are starting to harvest the dead trees in adjacent areas. Hopefully, they will do this area also and return it to the beautiful area that used to be here with lots of pine trees.

This is an easy trail that should be navigable by most vehicles that have made it this far. This area could turn muddy if there is recent precipitation.
