Trail Overview

The Electric/Mud Spring motorcycle trail is a beautiful and fun single track in the Sawtooth National Forest south of Twin Falls, Idaho. It starts at an unmarked intersection with the Mud Spring singletrack, and heads directly south. It goes through a beautiful aspen tree forest on a very narrow dirt trail. It has a couple of stream crossings that are very shallow and easy and continues to parallel the stream. The trail is often elevated above the stream. Most of the trail is smooth dirt with great traction, but there are a couple of spots with boulders embedded in the trail that add some difficulty, especially because the trail is so narrow. Watch out for loose sticks and small roots in the trail. All of these features are moderate difficulty, with nothing too difficult. It climbs up a steep hill out from the steam and into a tree section and then a sagebrush meadow. The trail is really fun the whole time and very scenic. It's fun because it is narrow, with great dirt and minimal rock, but still a bit challenging, with beautiful scenery. The trail ends directly across from the ATV trail Electric Spring.
