Trail Overview

This 12+-mile trail runs through the Chattahoochee National Forest and weaves alongside the Chattahoochee River and several other smaller streams. The majority of the trail is wide enough for 2 full-size vehicles to pass and is maintained regularly. Some small washouts from recent rain will make the trail slow going at times, but it remains accessible to 2WD vehicles. Along this trail are opportunities for trout fishing, camping, and hiking to the plethora of amazing waterfalls.

Very nice gravel road traveling beside the beautiful Wilkes Creek. Road is easily traveled by most vehicles as 2WD is not needed at any point. Porta potties are available, and the time of our visit had recently been maintained and were in fantastic shape. Lots of fishing and camping in the area, so watch for others.
