Trail Overview
Wrangler Trail is part of the Corral Canyon OHV Area in the Laguna Mountains of San Diego County. One of the only remaining OHV areas in San Diego, Corral Canyon attracts offroaders of many different types. From technical 4x4 trails to singletrack, there is something for everyone at Corral Canyon. Wrangler Trail is the longest continuous trail in Corral Canyon and includes several intersections with other trails. Please pay attention to trail signs, as they display trail difficulty by vehicle type. According to Cleveland National Forest, Wrangler Trail is rated Easiest (Green) for Dirt Bike, and More Difficult (Blue) for ATVs. Because of the physical trail width, this trail is limited to a 50" width. It is required to purchase a daily Adventure Pass for $5 for any parked vehicles, something that can be completed with an automated machine at the Four Corners Trailhead. USFS also requires spark arrestors on all OHVs to minimize wildfire risk. It is advised to double-check all routes using multiple maps, the USFS maps posted on the site are outdated. And as always, observe Leave No Trace principles.
Difficulty
The majority of this trail is flowing dirt with tall brush on either side. However, as this trail does experience some elevation changes, there are several obstacles that will be encountered. Expect large flat rock faces, possible mud puddles, small rocky hill climbs, and occasional navigation through rock gardens and boulder fields.
