Trail Overview
Senator Loop is a moderate trail in Crown King. Senator offers plenty of camping and scenic views of the Prescott National Forest. If you're visiting Horsethief Lake, the direct way is staying on Senator and following the signs. Taking Coal Springs Trail takes you to the Horsethief lookout tower, and loops back to the trail head. Off the main trail, there are hiking trails down into the canyon. Please respect private property signs. Senator Loop could be closed during heavy rains and snow.
