Trail Overview
Heckman Creek is the ultimate end destination and has an infinite amount of spur roads that can be explored. The route is well maintained for the first section up to the Shooting Range. Once you get beyond there the road maintenance is lacking leaving it bumpy and rutted. Overall the road conditions were fairly good. Once you get about 10 miles in the vegetation takes over as the route has not been cleared for a number of years. Some steep sections on the side of the hill, but they provide beautiful views.
Difficulty
Most of the road was in good shape. as you get further in the road narrows and there are water bars/crossditched created which you need to slow down to crawl over. most SUVs would be able to make it through.
