Trail Overview

Entering off the Route 48 side, the trail begins as a graded gravel road through a private forest preserve. This section of trail is very scenic and has a couple of interesting sights alongside it. This section will be plowed in Winter. Random branches can be expected. The left-hand turn onto Whitehead Road is not marked. during winter months, a large snowbank may block access. This section of trail is only one vehicle wide with limited pullover points. significant snow accumulation will be present in winter. Downed trees will be encountered. During summer Mountain Laurel blooms make the trail very scenic. The trail is a public town road that runs through a private forest preserve. Please respect private property by sticking to the trail and tread lightly.

Its was very mild but definitely worth coming if you have a short commute. There were some rocky parts and some muddy puddles.
