Schlatter Lake

Trail Overview

This is an easy trail that offers great vistas, camping areas, and fishing opportunities. It's a nice scenic ride along Schlatter Lake at the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula. This is a great option for those who don't want to make the more difficult trek to High Rock Bay. The trail is pretty firm with only a few rocks, small mud holes, and washouts to navigate.

Difficulty

Two-thirds of the trail is a hard dirt base, but the other third is a loose dirt base with loose rocks, roots, and mud. It is a rutted 2-track that is single-vehicle-wide with a few washouts and boulders to navigate.
