Trail Overview

Clear Creek is a fun trail in the Caribou National Forest from Clear Creek guard station to Snowdrift Mountain. The first 2/3 follows Clear Creek up the canyon. It is a fun section with multiple creek crossings and a great flowy trail. About 2/3 of the way up the trail, the trail splits. Continue on the Clear Creek trail to the left. At this point, the trail starts to climb out of the canyon up to the Snowdrift Mountain Ridge. There are a few technical sections with roots in the trail. The last section of the trail includes a steep climb with some switchbacks in a severely rutted trail with deep, loose dirt. This makes the last section a difficult climb without spinning the tire. But getting to the top results in incredible views, so you are rewarded for your hard work! Or you could take the Snowdrift trail from the North to the west side of this trail and go down this trail for an easier version.
