Public lands comprise 1,230 square miles (88%) of the total land covered by this wildlife management unit. The greater region is best serviced by Bend, Deschutes River Woods, and Crescent Lake. The elevation of the region ranges from a low of 2,200 feet to a high of 10,200 feet above sea level. This area contains 92 campgrounds, and 6 public fishing access sites.
