Unit C regulates hunting opportunities for bobcat in Michigan and covers 5,893 square miles. Public lands comprise 636 square miles (11%) of the total land covered by this hunt management unit. The greater region is best serviced by Grawn, Traverse City, and Presque Isle. The elevation of the region ranges from a low of 600 feet to a high of 1,500 feet above sea level. This area contains 59 campgrounds, and 10 public fishing access sites. There are 5 trailheads that provide public gateways to these forested and wilderness areas: Huron National Forest, Huron National Wilderness Purchase Unit. Additionally, 15 sites are open to the public for access to managed private lands.
