Unit 13D regulates hunting opportunities for wildlife in Alaska and covers 5,756 square miles. Public lands comprise 2,144 square miles (38%) of the total land covered by this game management unit. The greater region is best serviced by Valdez, Glennallen, and Kenny Lake. The elevation of the region ranges from a low of 200 feet to a high of 12,600 feet above sea level. Wildfires have burned nearly 970 acres here in the last two years, providing opportunities for new vegetation and attracting a variety of wildlife.
