This trail has a little bit of everything; gravel, rocks, mud, hills, and a river crossing. It is accessible from either end, but I prefer to wash my truck in the river on the way out. Watch out for dirtbikes and ORVs on the trail as you are crossing the Chadwick motorcycle and ATV recreation area.

County Road 523 is an offshoot trail from Skyline Drive. The trail does turn left where it meets with County Road 523 Spur A. Some areas along the way are overgrown and will be tighter for some vehicles. You should expect limbs, branches, or whole trees to be down on the trail.
