Trail Overview

Chadwick Trail 130 makes a 1.2-mile loop off of Lookout Road in the Chadwick Motorized Trail System. Going clockwise, it starts off as a narrow ATV trail weaving through a tight forest above a ravine. It enters the ravine, riding on packed-down small loose rocks. This will likely be very tight for ATVs to fit in the ravine here, especially as it goes through a tight tree gap. It curves along a hillside, with a few gradual switchbacks and steeper spots. There are cinder blocks reinforcing the path in some of the steepest sections to prevent erosion. It feels like a roller coaster up and over the small rolling hills. There are a few roots, but no major obstacles. After 1.2 miles, it reaches an intersection with 132A, or goes back to Lookout Road.

Difficulty

This is an easy trail because it has minor technical features such as short steep spots, loose rock, and roots, but no major obstacles. Although designated for ATVs, it will likely be very tight and narrow for 50” vehicles in the ravines and on the hillsides.
